We’re proud to be the first store in the U.S., and one of the only dedicated showroom experiences outside of Tiptoe’s Paris flagship, where you can experience the collection in person.
Tiptoe is a Paris-based modular furniture brand celebrated for its adaptable designs, thoughtful engineering, and commitment to sustainability. Tiptoe’s pieces are intentionally simple yet highly versatile, designed to evolve with changing spaces and lives, and to blur the boundary between indoors and out.
Barton Springs Nursery carries Tiptoe because the brand reflects our belief that good design should be flexible, enduring, and deeply connected to how people actually live. With an emphasis on responsible materials, repairability, and timeless form, Tiptoe’s furniture supports a more thoughtful, less disposable approach to design, one that aligns seamlessly with our values around longevity, stewardship, and creating spaces that feel personal, functional, and alive.
Why Tiptoe?
Tiptoe came onto our radar in the most organic way. In 2024, our owner Amy Hovis met Tiptoe co-founder, Vincent Quesada, in New York at a design conference and immediately fell for the brand—the clarity of the designs, the iconic steel legs, and the values behind how everything is made. The pieces felt honest, adaptable, and quietly confident -exactly the kind of design she’s always been drawn to.
Bringing Tiptoe to Barton Springs Nursery has been a long-held dream, and we’re now proud to be one of the only places outside of Paris where you can experience it in person. For us, Tiptoe represents everything we care about: thoughtful design, longevity, flexibility, and furniture that evolves with the way people actually live. Bringing the brand into our space felt less like adding a product and more like welcoming a kindred spirit.

Tiptoe’s distinctly original ‘Tiptoe Table Leg’ is a testament to the craftsmanship and adaptability of the brand's pieces. Architectural in character and reminiscent of a structural beam, the precision-cut steel leg clamps to a variety of tabletops, enabling various configurations of size, material, and function. It’s a flexible table alternative, meant to evolve with changing lives and spaces.

The PLI Shelf is the perfect modular, modern shelving option that complements the walls of any room. Offered in multiple lengths and a range of colors, this shelf can be configured to create color vignettes and compositions that can be changed over time.

The LOU Stool—it’s more than a stool. It’s a representation of Tiptoe’s modern aesthetique and eco-friendly ethos. The oakwood seat is sourced from certified forests. Use this stackable stool as a seat, bedside table, plant stand, or whatever you choose.
