Gaston, an expert in tropical plants and soil science with thousands of followers on social media, will join us to discuss "Inside Plants: A Look at the Care and Cultivation of Houseplants." Discover the fascinating history, numerous benefits, and expert tips for caring for and cultivating houseplants. Learn what it takes to grow your houseplants like a pro and keep them thriving. There will be a ‘happy half hour’ before, from 6:00-6:30 pm, and the talk will last from 6:30-7:30 pm. See you there!

About the Speaker:

Matthew Gaston is a botanical educator and consultant based in Austin, Texas, renowned for his engaging approach to plant education. His passion for plants was ignited during a third-grade summer camp at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, leading him to pursue studies in Genetics, Plant Biology, and Science & Math Education at the University of California, Berkeley. He furthered his academic journey at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences. Matthew previously worked in education in the San Francisco Bay Area, the University of Hawaii, and Zilker Botanical Garden.
